Welcome to our Meet the Team Feature!
Every few weeks we’ll introduce you to one of the hardworking team members here at Intilery. We hope you feel that you can get to know us as a company and a team, but also as the individuals who work behind the scenes.
Next, we’d like to introduce you to…
Head of Accounts
Tell us a little bit about yourself and your role within Intilery?
What I love about my role as the Head of Accounts at Intilery is the variety. As well as managing the accounts and payroll, I also look after HR and office contract management. No two days are the same, and there is always an interesting project to get involved in.
April is Stress Awareness month and we’ve been looking at what companies can be doing to help boost staff happiness. As you head up HR, what’s something exciting that you’ve been working on at the moment?
There have been many challenges over the last 12 months, and there have been quite a few changes that have impacted my role. With remote working over the last year we have been keen to keep the team socialising and active, we have recently set up a social committee with the help of staff volunteers. Our team have come up with some great ideas to so far and we even arranged a Hack day which got people working with colleagues they would not usually work with. It was a great success, enjoyed by all and was invaluable for new members of the team who have joined us remotely.
How do you spend your time when you’re not working?
I enjoy spending time with my family, going out for drinks/live music with friends, yoga and exploring new places walking. I’m in training for the coast to coast along Hadrian’s Wall in May, and the Macmillan Mighty Hike along Rob Roy’s Way in August, so have been getting the miles in during lockdown. I’ve got my fingers crossed that the campsites will reopen in time.
