Meet the Team – Philipa Wynne

Welcome to our Meet the Team Feature!

Every few weeks we’ll introduce you to one of the hardworking team members here at Intilery. We hope you feel that you can get to know us as a company and a team, but also as the individuals who work behind the scenes.

Next, we’d like to introduce you to…

Philipa Wynne
Content Executive

Tell us a little bit about yourself and your role within Intilery?

As Content Exec here at Intilery, I take ownership and manage all of our blog and social media content. From researching, writing, and uploading blogs, eBooks, and guides to determining the look and feel of our social media output and engaging with our audience via these platforms. It’s a fast-paced role that requires me to be on the ball, so it’s a good job that I’m the sort of person who works well to a deadline!

In case you’re wondering, yes, I take ownership of the Meet the Team feature too, so these questions didn’t come as much of a surprise to me considering I wrote them. I have to admit though, it still took me some time to get all my answers together.

What’s something exciting that you’re working on at the moment?

As you would imagine, my role involves a great deal of writing, if it didn’t then there would be no blog content for you, our lovely audience to read. I’ve always loved writing and have no complaints about getting to do it on a day-to-day basis, but recently the most exciting thing I’ve been working on are a set of guides for our eCommerce audience.

Of course, these require a lot of research, but it’s given me the opportunity to put my design skills to use to make them look bright and exciting. It has been a nice change of pace to be able to sit and experiment with colours and layouts etc.

How do you spend your time when you’re not working?

In the last year, a lot of my spare time has been spent walking and cycling. With all the lockdowns it’s been important to me to make sure I get outside as much as possible. Last April was the first time I’d ridden a bike in over 10 years and now I’m basically a pro (well, I have all the gear and no idea, and only occasionally fall off when I’m cross riding).

Before the pandemic hit, you would most likely find me in the pubs and music venues around Manchester (averaging about three concerts a week). Watching live music is one of my favourite things to do, whether that be a huge band at Manchester Arena, or an upcoming artist in the back room of a pub with a crowd of 20 people. I can’t wait to be able to get back to gigs and festivals, with a pint of real ale in my hand.

Quick Fire Round:

Favourite Film? Any Marvel (MCU) movie that’s NOT Doctor Strange – there are too many good ones to choose from!
Favourite Book? Where Rainbows End by Cecelia Ahern.
Favourite Band/Musician? Newton Faulkner – I’ve seen him live 11 times, and even saw him twice in a day at Glastonbury festival.
Favourite Animal? Sharks, I would love to swim with them one day.
Signature Dish: Chicken Fajita Pasta bake (with lots of cheese on top).
